Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pure Star Diamonds Android application (“App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About the App
The App is a companion experience for Pure Star Diamonds. It allows you to:
- Browse our Etsy shop inside an in-app browser (WebView)
- Open curated jewellery category pages
- Request custom jewellery quotes through WhatsApp
- Access app-only promotional messaging (for example, code APP15 / 15% Extra Discount on eligible custom quotes)
- Share links to our shop or app
- Receive optional local daily offer notifications
The App is not a separate online store checkout system. Product browsing and standard purchases are completed on Etsy under Etsy’s terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter a contract in your country and old enough to use jewellery e-commerce services. If you use the App on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
3. Etsy content and purchases
- Shop pages shown in the App are loaded from Etsy.
- Prices, availability, shipping, taxes, returns, and order processing for Etsy purchases are controlled by Etsy and our Etsy shop policies.
- Any Etsy account login, payment, or checkout happens on Etsy’s platform.
- We are not responsible for temporary WebView loading issues, Etsy outages, or changes Etsy makes to its website.

4. Custom orders via WhatsApp
- Custom-order features open WhatsApp so you can message our business number.
- Quotes, timelines, metal options, diamond specs, sizing, and final pricing are confirmed in writing on WhatsApp (or another channel we agree) before production.
- A quote is an invitation to order, not a binding sale until we confirm acceptance and payment terms.
- Design ideas, sketches, and photos you send may be used solely to prepare your quote and fulfil your order.
5. App-only promotions (including APP15)
- Promotions such as “15% Extra Discount” / code APP15 apply only as described in the App and in our WhatsApp confirmation.
- Unless we say otherwise, APP15 is intended for custom order quotes started from the App, not automatically for every Etsy cart item.
- We may modify, suspend, or end a promotion at any time.
- Only one promotional courtesy applies unless we expressly approve stacking.
- Misuse, automated abuse, or fraudulent requests may void a promotion.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the App
- Interfere with the WebView, inject malicious code, or scrape content unlawfully
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in custom-order chats
- Harass our team or send spam through WhatsApp links opened from the App
7. Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the App may show local daily jewellery highlights around 7:00 a.m. in your device’s timezone. These are informational and promotional. You can disable them in Android settings.
8. Intellectual property
- The App’s branding, layout, logos, and original text belong to Pure Star Diamonds or its licensors.
- Product images and shop content loaded from Etsy remain subject to Etsy’s and the rights owner’s terms.
- You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit App materials without permission.
9. Third-party services
The App depends on third parties including Etsy, WhatsApp/Meta, Google Play, and image hosts. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or account actions.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that WebView content will always match the live Etsy site exactly.
Jewellery descriptions, carat weights, metal stamps, and certifications for a custom piece are as confirmed in your final approved quote and invoice/order confirmation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pure Star Diamonds and its owners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability related to the App itself (not including separately contracted product orders fulfilled through Etsy or WhatsApp agreements) shall not exceed INR 2,000 or the amount you paid specifically for the App (if any), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
