This Privacy Policy explains how the Pure Star Diamonds Android app (“App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our application. The App helps you browse our Etsy shop, explore jewellery categories, request custom-order quotes via WhatsApp, share the shop, and receive optional daily offer notifications.

1. Who we are

Pure Star Diamonds is a jewellery business selling lab-grown diamond jewellery, primarily through our Etsy shop at https://purestardiamonds.etsy.com/.

2. Information we collect

We design the App to collect as little personal data as possible.

• Information you choose to send us. If you use Custom Order, discount buttons, or the WhatsApp chat button, WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message. Any design ideas, photos, size preferences, or contact details you share are sent through WhatsApp to our business number, not stored inside the App.
• Notification preference. On Android 13+, the App may ask permission to show notifications. If you allow it, we schedule local daily reminders on your device. We do not upload this permission status to our own servers.
• Device / system data used only on-device. The App may use standard Android features such as network connectivity checks, WebView storage/cookies for loading Etsy pages, and alarm/boot receivers to reschedule local notifications after device restart.

The App does not require you to create an account with us, and we do not operate a separate Pure Star Diamonds user database inside the App.

3. Information we do not intentionally collect

• No in-app registration or login for Pure Star Diamonds accounts
• No payment card details collected by the App (purchases on Etsy are handled by Etsy)
• No advertising ID tracking for ads inside the App
• No analytics SDKs currently integrated by us for profiling
• No access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or location beyond what WhatsApp or Etsy’s own apps/sites may request when you leave our App

4. Third-party services

When you use certain features, third parties process data under their own policies:

• Etsy. The Shop and Categories open Etsy pages in an in-app WebView. Etsy may set cookies and collect data according to Etsy’s Privacy Policy.
• WhatsApp / Meta. Custom-order and discount chat features open WhatsApp (or WhatsApp Web links). Messages you send are governed by WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Play / Android. Installation, updates, and crash reports (if enabled by your device/Google) are handled by Google under its policies.
• Image loading. Category and promotional images may load from Etsy’s image servers (for example, etsystatic.com).

5. How we use information

• To show our shop and category pages
• To help you start a custom jewellery quote on WhatsApp (including app-only offer code messaging such as APP15)
• To let you share links to our shop / app
• To deliver optional local daily jewellery highlight notifications at about 7:00 a.m. in your device timezone
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App experience

6. Notifications

Daily notifications are generated locally on your device from content stored in the App. You can disable them anytime in your Android system settings for Pure Star Diamonds (Notifications). Uninstalling the App also stops notifications.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We only receive what you voluntarily send us (for example via WhatsApp or Etsy). We may share information if required by law, to protect our rights, or with service providers who help us run the business (such as WhatsApp for messaging).

8. Data retention

The App itself does not maintain a customer profile database. Messages and order discussions you start on WhatsApp or Etsy are retained according to those platforms and our normal business records practices for fulfilling custom orders and customer support.

9. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for adults and jewellery purchasers. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it from our business records where applicable.

10. International users

Our business is operated from India and may communicate with customers internationally through Etsy and WhatsApp. By using the App, you understand that your messages may be
